12 July 2017Invitation to A Civic Society Dialogue on Participation Strategies in Transit Oriented Development with Civil Society Organisations In Johannesburg and London.

Planact and Wits University (School of Architecture & Planning) are partners with University College London on a research project called ‘Governing the Future City: A comparative analysis of governance innovations in large-scale urban developments in Shanghai, London, and Johannesburg’. Through a specific focus on the Corridors of Freedom, in Johannesburg, we are looking at the extent to which large urban projects are providing for the needs of residents and other stakeholders.

Joining us for this dialogue, is a special guest from the London Tenants Association, Sharon Hayward. She will be sharing her experiences on the public participation on the London mega projects.

You are cordially invited to a dialogue session hosting a number of civil society organisations.
