In a democratic South Africa, active participation by communities is important. The reality is that communities are often not aware of the space nor the impact that they may have on these spaces and their livelihoods.

In mining towns, the reality can be seen. Many communities have been forced into positions of vulnerability and hopelessness because their lives are impacted negatively by mining practices and legislation. These communities are then known as mining affected communities.

Planact, in an attempt to capture all these issues is inviting you to a consultative dialogue to discuss the commonalities of shared experience and to hear the voices of the mining affected communities.
