Responsive Living Environments
This programme is designed to engage with and influence actions at a city-wide level, with the results contributing to or correlating with the national level and being shared with communities. The aim of the programme is to provide evidence of various successful methods of practice in supporting citizens to achieve improvements in the quality of their settlements or neighbourhoods.

Emerging Contractors and Small-scale rentals Project
Planact and the Development Action Group (DAG) have partnered to deliver the Contractor Development Academy (CDA)-type of activities in Gauteng.
Community safety and security is a shared responsibility.
As part of the Social Employment Fund project – safety and security theme, 64 participants from safety teams in Wattville and Skoonplaas in the City of Ekurhuleni received training to enhance their ability to identify and mitigate potential safety risks in their communities.
