In 2021/22, Planact advanced its mission to empower marginalised communities in South Africa, focusing on Gauteng and Mpumalanga provinces. Through programmes like Strengthened Grassroots Voices, Responsive Living Environments, and Sustainable Livelihoods Initiatives, we enhanced community participation, improved service delivery, and promoted equitable resource distribution. Key achievements included digital addressing in informal settlements, urban heat monitoring, and economic development projects in Wattville, despite challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and reduced government support.
